The Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization’s new interpretive center features sustainable design elements including the use of locally-sourced construction materials, native landscaping, a living roof, energy efficient mechanical systems, and permeable paving. The design also leveraged an existing wall to realize programmatic goals including a climbing wall and performance space.
