Switching from a conventional to a geothermal system has already proven beneficial at School District 23. Indoor air quality and comfort has greatly improved and an energy savings of 61% was seen during the first year at MacArthur Middle School.
Advantages are lower lifetime costs and efficiencies from different zones (rooms) within the school that might require heating and cooling at the same time. This system works as one to move that energy throughout the facility.
